Excellent capacity and life.
While travelling, I can use my macbook for 6 hrs working on word prosessing and can watch about 3hrs of DVD playback with earphones. Ofcourse I have to optimise settings like turning off wireless and bluetooth (which aren't used while in flight), dimming the LCD, closing unnecessary apps etc. Macbook together with this battery is a good piece of engineering from Apple. Only four stars because the battery forms a part of external plastic and isn't something that slides into a casing. Disadvantage is a slight imperfection in fit.

excellent with MythTV
I've been using several of these units with a whole-house MythTV setup for several years. They are very well supported under Linux's LIRC program, and work flawlessly. It's also very nice to have the same remote for every TV in the house--very good for the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor).

You get what you paid for...
When I bought this I had very high expectations for this but when I received it and started using it I was disappointed. The software to configure it could be better and more friendly to the user. I bought this specifically to use it with nVidia's nStant Media, so I researched it first in the web page to see if they supported it and they said they do. But when I tried to use it, was no good, I couldn't even make the play button to work. There are some functions in Media center that don't work either. I am using the remote control only with Windows Media Player for watching DVD's, and iTunes for music. I guess next time I will spend a little more money so I can use what I bought with what I want.

Workes great with mythtv
Bought it to use with my mythtv setup. Works great. The IR receiver is wonderful. I could control it with my regular TV (Sony SXRD) remote. The included remote is pretty good too. Nice feel to the buttons and feels comfortable to hold.

Good design, but it could be better...
I really like it, but the build quality is a bit cheap in that one of the keys did not work out-of-the-box. Yes, I did read the prior reviews, but I wanted to try this one out for myself. The "Select" key, as it's known on the Playstation Dual Shock 2 controller is not functioning. It may be that some debris is blocking the sensor under the rubber plunger or the solder may be absent.
This would be perfect (5 stars) if Dekcell would up the build costs and turn this into a killer or even gamepad.
The design, being an almost exact copy of the Playstation Dual Shock 2 controller is a perfect fit as far as I am concerned. If I can't solve the button problem on my own, I may do without it and still happily use this controller until something else breaks, in which case I would buy another.
The USB cord was a little too short so I plugged it into an extension and it worked out perfectly, unlike some other devices I have previously used with the extension.
I have tested this gamepad with Jmouse, and Joystick 2 Mouse 3, and the results have been good. Nothing like controlling your mouse with a gamepad from the comfort of say your couch! Jmouse tends to be painfully slow and J2M3 is a bit squirrely with the acceleration. As of now, I can't decide which one to stay with but J2M3 has more options for configuration so I may eventually be able to get it to behave in a more controlled manner. Both programs seem to be affected by Windows' mouse control panel applet. (main.cpl)
The analogs were dead-center (amazing) without jitters. Frankly, calibration was not needed unlike the Logitech I used, but I went ahead and calibrated it anyway. However, in-game, the analog seemed to be really sensitive.
One thing that threw me off with this controller was the order of buttons. With the Logitech, the Playstation's square was button one, but on this controller, the Playstation's triangle is button one. It took a few minutes to get used to when dealing with Jmouse but in-game; I assign the actions manually so it is not a problem.
Before I finish this review, I would like to mention Pinnacle Game Profiler. It is a little utility that allows you to load profiles for different games. This may save you some time and sanity when dealing with the likes of Half-Life: Source, which seems to like to "unbindall" and revert to defaults, and ignore your custom game.cfg in which you've spent half an hour typing out the binds for your gamepad.
Good luck finding the right fit, and at this price you may be able to afford to give this one a try...

you get what you pay for
this is cheap its affordable and its worth a try it plays my psx emulators well feels like im carrying a plastic plate in my hands because of how light it is but it works and for the price i say your winning on this deal.

Good cheap gamepad, but eventually broke
For this gamepad was the right price, just plug it into the nearest USB port and it worked great. Unfortunately it isn't very durable and after a few months one of the small joysticks broke, essentially rendering it useless. I would purchase it again but we're getting a PS2 system so we won't need it. Just a warning for those of you considering a purchase, it is cheap plastic and you get what you pay for. We got great use out of it though.

Gr8t item for the money
These game controllers works perfectly with Vista. The setup was so easy that I forgot that i was loading them on a Vista machine.

Great Value!!!
I got this controller as my first PC gamepad so I could play my playstation roms on my pc. After obtaining the controller, I was pleasantly surprised by it's performance. The controller works like a charm and is an amazing deal. Good price, good product!

You pay for what you get!
I have bought this adapter twice. I am extremely hard on my adapters (been through 4 in 3 years). The one that came with my laptop worked for 2 years. I keep replacing them with this one. Sure, they go out again in about 3 months, but if I wanted a high quality item, I would go directly through dell. Eventually it will be more cost effective. Hopefully I will have an upgraded computer before that happens. Until then, is a great deal. Fast shipping and no problems with the product (except quality of course).

Mouse Features
The mouse's 4-way scrolling feature takes advantage of Microsoft's Tilt Wheel technology, letting you scroll four ways for greater efficiency and comfort. Meanwhile, the Instant Viewer function allows you to click the scroll wheel button to instantly display your open windows. Then you just point and click to select the window you want. Another feature, the Magnifier, lets you point and click to enlarge and edit details on your screen.

Use the Media Center Start Button to gain one touch access to Windows Media Center, or press the Windows Start Button to launch your Start menu and search your PC or the Web if you have Windows Vista installed. The Windows Live Call Button accesses your Windows Live Messenger buddy list, while the Windows Gadgets Button gives you one-touch access to gadgets such as weather information, news updates, traffic maps and slide shows of online photo albums. Plus, when you're playing music or videos media controls on the keyboard allow you to easily navigate to your next or previous track. Or use the media controls to play, pause and control volume. Lastly, the "My Favorites" hot key makes it easy to access the folders, files, and Web pages you use most.
What's in the Box
Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 keyboard and mouse, rechargeable batteries, software CD-ROM, and Microsoft Mini Bluetooth Transceiver.

Functional, easy to use Keyboard
I selected this keyboard for simple fact it was the smallest or most streamline I could find. I try to reduce clutter as much as possible in my work space so this fits the bill. I never use number pad so I don't miss it. After about a month it is performing well and I have no regrets. I would purchase again if it was stolen or destroyed.

great, until the function keys stopped working
Great keyboard, comfortable - loved the little mousepad. Was great for browsing from the couch, and integrated well with Media Center. The mouse is also comfortable, stylish, with a side buttons for added functions.
Too bad all the touch-sensitive keys on the keyboard (look closely, this includes all function keys, home, end, the mouse pad, etc etc) stopped working. This rendered the entire keyboard unusable.
I still use the mouse, and would have given this item 5 stars if the keyboard still worked as it initially did.

Great wireless set
I've been using the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 for a month now, and I have to say it works very well. I haven't noticed the slightest reception problem, bluetooth works great. Setup was very easy.
Being able to look for a movie or a TV shown to watch online, from the comfort of my bed is just great. The desktop software also has some nice features, like a magnifier for small text or when you are away from your screen. The play/pause fast forward and rewind buttons work with iTunes (great). No numeric pad, but this keyboard is not for working on Excel. No lit keys, but if you are typewriter trained, you don't need it.
The mouse works great. The laser tracking lets you use it on top of almost anything. It has two additional buttons which are programmable, and the scroll wheel, also lets you scroll sideways.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Nice vaio AR
Nice Vaio , every thing is ok but poor quality,
design nice, every thing okkk

Preliminary review
This is a very nice laptop. Its bigger and heavier than what I expected, but seems to be exactly what I need. I haven't used it much though, at least not enough to write a full review. I have noticed that it has Windows Vista preloaded, but I couldn't find the Windows Vista system disc in the box.

A solid desktop replacement.
This is a pretty hefty system meaning it's large and heavy. The upside is that it's very powerful and comparable with a mid-range pc capable of playing modern games.
It sports 4GB of RAM however since it has the 32-bit version of Windows Vista, the system only recognizes a max of 3GB of RAM. I do not know why they put 4GB of RAM in the system but installed an OS that can only recognize 3GB. Seems like a waste that we the consumers must pay for.
Also if you try to install a 64-bit version of Windows Vista or XP, Sony will provide you no support because they only support 32bit driver versions for this system. You can find 64-bit versions of the video card drivers but you need to tweak the .inf file so that Vista matches the drivers with your hardware other wise it will say you have no valid hardware. The rest of the hardware you're pretty much on your own, some of the drivers can be mixed and matches but other wise cannot. So if you get this system realize that if you decide to install another OS on here, you may run into some issues with drivers. Also the system comes with no discs so backup the drive if you decide to format.
Other than that it's a great system, it's very fast and powerful. Great for everything. I'd recommend for someone who needs a powerful laptop that can be taken on the go. I would not recommend it to someone who travels a great deal as the system is very large and heavy.

Sony VAIO VGN-AR760U/B
I Love the Sony VAIO VGN-AR760U/B I used to have a Dell Inspiron 6400 and I start to have problems when I played my games, so I decide to buy this computer after reading all the reviews, I choose one day shipping and the next day I have my new laptop, it came very well packaged don't have recovery disc but I don't think is important I have almos 2 years with my dell and never used the recovery programs, but I made my recovery disc after removing all the programs I didn't want.
I turn on the Laptop and I noticed The screen is too bright to my eyes I have sensible eyes, but when you are out in the sun is perfect, The only thing I don't like is that when I adjust the display brightness to lower a noise appear and I call the VAIO support but they told me that this is normal because of the good quality of the display so i will buy a privacy filter soon to not heard that noice and my eyes not suffer.
The quality of the colors of the display are fantastic nothing compare with my Dell also is fast, fast very fast, I install all my games the Monopoly, Zuma Deluxe, Chuzzle Deluxe, Cradle Of Rome, Dairy Dash, Ranch Rush, Cake Mania2, Chocolatier 1 & 2,Cooking Academy, Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games, Solitaire City, Slingo Supree, Age of empires and all work great I liked to play lots of games, I transfer all my videos, Music and picture and I'm only used 177 GB so I still have lot of free space.
I have a program to conver the format of my videos but with the VAIO Video and Photo Suite and with the "click to disc" option I don't need nothing more. I'm not use all the programs that this machine have already, but it will take some time to used them all.
I removed some installed programs that came and I don't need and of corse I remove the Norton 360 antivirus because I use it before with my Dell for a year and didn't liked because slows my computer a lot and if you need to do a sistem restore always meke problems it take a lot of time to installed and more time to uninstaled, so I install the ESET Smart Security is better and you don't even notice that is there and it's very secure.
I bought the Targus CVR217 Neoprene Slip Case for 17" Notebooks (Black/Blue) and it's perfect for this Laptop and nice looking, but you can only put the laptop and the AC adapter, don't have to much space, so I bougth also the Targus TXL617 17 XL Notebook Backpack is large very large and you can put lots of stuff there also the Neoprene slip case fits.
I higly recomend the Sony VAIO VGN-AR760U/B is great..!!!
